Wind vane help

I am looking to add a self steering vane on somewhat of a budget. My big concern is not ruining the beautiful lines or drilling holes in my new boomkin. I'm just curious has anyone here made their own? I would love to see pictures of current set ups. smiling smiley

Hi, I have restored Dazzler, NorSea 22 (Falmouth Cutter) hull #1. I am seeking a used windvane self-steering system. Did you get results when you were looking and/or can you help? Thanks, Bill

Hey Bill, so far none whatsoever. I'm in Wa State and while there are quire a few 22's here I still haven't found something I like, I think I am going to make something like the free hand. Alan

Alan. OK thanks. If you can find any plans, drawings, or photos I would really appreciate and guidance. It appears the Freehandsteering.com site is shut down. I found one photo on Larry Pardey's website, but it doesn't show the mechanics to the trim tab. I can't find any other drawings or photos anywhere. Thanks again for your help. Bill BSnow@rich.com

Have a look at my movies which are on the link.

E-mail with your concerns for the Falmouth, I'll be happy to discuss with you any time at ...Mav5252@aol.com
